چکیده

Hop (Humulus lupulus L.) is grown mainly for the production of beer. The flowers female plant give it bitter taste and pungent aroma. There are a large number hop varieties differing in their ?-acid content, essential oil levels odor profiles. Aside from use brewing, more recently, hops have been used pharmacological properties its derivatives that great importance to pharmaceutical industry. known fairly complex chemistry characterized by presence variety sesquiterpenoids, diterpenoids triterpenoids, phytoestrogens flavonoids. Additionally, considering countless applications sector recent years, chemical characterization different cultivars better identify source specific secondary metabolites. For this purpose, dried inflorescences two cultivars, Chinook Cascade, were investigated using Solid-Phase Microextraction-Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass (SPME-GC-MS LC-MS-MS) describe metabolomic proteomic profile. Furthermore, thanks an in-depth statistical survey, was possible carry out comparative study highlighting interesting implications deriving investigative study.

Monoterpene synthase from Dracocephalum kotschyi and SPME-GC-MS analysis of its aroma profile

Dracocephalum kotschyi (Lamiaceae), as one of the remarkable aromatic plants, widely grows and also is cultivated in various temperate regions of Iran. There are diverse reports about the composition of the oil of this plant representing limonene derivatives as its major compounds. There is no report on cloning of mono- or sesquiterpene synthases from this plant. In the present study, ...

Chemical Analysis of Pesticides Using GC/MS, GC/MS/MS, and LC/MS/MS

There are well over 500 registered pesticides worldwide for use in agricultural regions and new agrochemicals are introduced to the marketplace continuously. This chapter deals with the chemical analysis methods for the main pesticide chemical classes that are most frequently analyzed with gas chromatography (GC) or liquid chromatography (LC) coupled to mass spectrometry (MS). GC amenable pesti...

Volatile compound changes during shelf life of dried Boletus edulis: comparison between SPME-GC-MS and PTR-ToF-MS analysis.

Drying process is commonly used to allow long time storage of valuable porcini mushrooms (Boletus edulis). Although considered a stable product dried porcini flavour changes during storage. Monitoring of volatile compounds during shelf life may help to understand the nature of the observed changes. In the present work two mass spectrometric techniques were used to monitor the evolution of volat...

Multimodal Metabolomics Combining UPLC-qToF-MS and GC-MS Data in Plasma and Brain Tissue

Metabolomic analysis of biological fluids and tissues has become an increasingly routine tool in the biological toolbox. However, challenges remain to be overcome, including developing strategies to maximise coverage of the metabolome without requiring large sample volumes. Here we describe a multimodal strategy that combines data using both LC-MS and GC-MS from a unique vial with a sample of p...

Determination and production of antimicrobial compounds by Aspergillus clavatonanicus strain MJ31, an endophytic fungus from Mirabilis jalapa L. using UPLC-ESI-MS/MS and TD-GC-MS analysis

Endophytic fungi associated with medicinal plants are reported as potent producers of diverse classes of secondary metabolites. In the present study, an endophytic fungi, Aspergillus clavatonanicus strain MJ31, exhibiting significant antimicrobial activity was isolated from roots of Mirabilis jalapa L., was identified by sequencing three nuclear genes i.e. internal transcribed spacers ribosomal...
